The Original Elite mattress is 40% off at £449.40. On Emma's Back to School sale page, still up today, the same mattress was 35% off at £421.85. Bigger percentage. Higher price.
Emma is almost always on sale, and its "was" prices move between sales. So the percentage tells you very little.
We checked Emma's UK site on 27 October 2026 and built a ledger of every Emma UK sale price we could source back to 2023. Here's what it says: Black Friday rarely goes much deeper on Emma's core mattresses, and some years a pre-Black Friday sale was cheaper.
Our call: get the newsletter code today. Buy the Original or Original Pro now, and hold off on the Elite until Black Friday week. Related: Black Friday 2026: every store we tracked.
When is the Emma Black Friday sale in 2026?
Emma has published its dates. Price cuts started on 27 October 2026 and the sale ends on Monday 30 November 2026, which is Cyber Monday. Black Friday itself is 27 November.
That's a five-week window, and the dates are in writing this year.
Emma also says it may add extra discounts at its discretion. Possible, not promised.
How long did Emma's past Black Friday sales run?
- 2023: an early sale was live by 13 October. The main sale ran through November and ended on 28 November.
- 2024: up to 50% off was live by 25 November. We couldn't find a published end date.
- 2025: an early Black Friday sale was live by 4 November. Its bundle deal ran until 1 December.
Based on the last three years, the deals have always stretched past Black Friday into Cyber Monday. So there's no reason to rush on day one.
Emma Black Friday sale history

What the pattern tells you
The headline number keeps shrinking. Up to 65% in 2023, up to 50% in 2024, up to 40% now. T3's 2023 headline of 65% off mattresses, duvets and pillows hasn't been repeated in our sources.
The deepest cuts land on premium or outgoing models. The 65% in 2023 was on the Luxe Cooling. The Original sat at 20% off that same week.
Black Friday often matches a normal sale. The Hybrid Airgrid was £468.30 for a single on Black Friday 2025, and exactly £468.30 again in the January 2026 sale.
What's live right now (checked 27 October 2026)
Emma lists "from" prices, which start at its smallest size. Here's what the Black Friday page showed.
| Product | Was | Black Friday price | Label |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original Lite Mattress | £199.00 | £179.10 | 10% off |
| Original Mattress | £369.00 | £295.20 | 20% off |
| Original Pro Mattress | £539.00 | £377.30 | 30% off |
| Original Elite Mattress | £749.00 | £449.40 | 40% off |
| Performance 28 Mattress | £859.00 | £599.00 | Save up to £510 |
| Performance 30 Mattress | £1,069.00 | £749.00 | Save up to £650 |
| Comfort Cooling Pillow Bundle (2 pillows) | £170.00 | £102.00 | 40% off |
| Mega Black Friday Deal bundle | £744.00 | £483.60 | 35% off |
One catch: Emma says the Black Friday discounts apply to selected products only, and the page doesn't list what's excluded. Related: best mattresses we've ranked.
Is Emma's Black Friday price lower than its Back to School price?
Sometimes. On the two most expensive Original models, no.
Emma's own sale page still showed its Back to School prices when we checked on 27 October. That gives a clean side-by-side.
| Product | Back to School price | Black Friday price | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original Elite | £421.85 (35% off £649) | £449.40 (40% off £749) | Black Friday is £27.55 more |
| Original Pro | £375.20 (20% off £469) | £377.30 (30% off £539) | Black Friday is £2.10 more |
| Original | £296.65 (15% off £349) | £295.20 (20% off £369) | Black Friday is £1.45 less |
| Original Lite | £179.10 (10% off £199) | £179.10 (10% off £199) | Same |
| Comfort Cooling Pillow Bundle | £110.60 (30% off £158) | £102.00 (40% off £170) | Black Friday is £8.60 less |
See what happened. The Elite's "was" price rose from £649 to £749. The percentage went up by five points, and you still pay more.
Emma says each Black Friday discount is worked out from the lowest price in the 30 days before the promotion. We're not saying that rule was broken. The "was" figure is just a poor guide, because it changes between sales.
So compare the final price, never the label. If the Original Elite drops to £421.85 or below during Black Friday week, that's a real deal. At £449.40, it isn't.
Did Black Friday beat Emma's other sales in past years?
We found three like-for-like comparisons. Black Friday won one, lost one and tied one.
2023: the October sale won. A double Original was £338.10 at 30% off on 13 October 2023. On Black Friday it was £379.20 at 20% off. Buying early saved you £41.10.
2024: Black Friday won. The NextGen Premium double was 30% off both times. In March it cost £503.39, and on Black Friday £461.30, because the "was" price had dropped. That's £42.09 cheaper.
2025 to 2026: a tie. The Hybrid Airgrid single cost £468.30 on Black Friday 2025 and £468.30 in January 2026.
So Emma's Black Friday isn't a guaranteed low. It's one of several sales at roughly the same depth. Related: Saatva Black Friday.
How much does the newsletter code save on top?
Emma says newsletter subscribers get an extra 5% off with a promo code, and that it stacks on Black Friday prices. You sign up at the bottom of Emma's site.
Two rules from Emma's own FAQ. You must enter the code at checkout. It can't be added after you've paid.
Here's the math on today's prices:
| Product | Black Friday price | With extra 5% | You save |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original Elite (from) | £449.40 | £426.93 | £22.47 |
| Original Pro (from) | £377.30 | £358.44 | £18.86 |
| Original (from) | £295.20 | £280.44 | £14.76 |
| Comfort Cooling Pillow Bundle | £102.00 | £96.90 | £5.10 |
Even with the code, the Original Elite at £426.93 is still £5.08 above its Back to School price of £421.85. With the code, the Original Pro beats its Back to School price by £16.76.
So the code flips the Pro into a good buy today. It doesn't rescue the Elite.
What happens if you return a Black Friday mattress?
Emma says Black Friday buys get the same guarantees as any other time of year. Here's what that means in practice.
- Mattresses and beds: 200-night trial. Toppers get 100 nights. Pillows and weighted blankets get 30 nights. Mattress protectors and Cloud duvets get 14 days.
- Returns cost: free. You book a pickup through Emma's returns portal, and a carrier contacts you within 2 to 3 working days.
- Postcode catch: pickups aren't available in some postcodes, including TR, PO, PA, IV and Northern Ireland. Emma says it arranges the pickup once those restrictions lift.
The 200-night trial makes an Emma Black Friday buy low risk. That's more than six months to decide.
We couldn't find a price adjustment or price match policy in Emma's FAQ. So if the price drops after you buy, don't count on a refund of the difference.
What does Emma delivery cost on Black Friday?
Standard delivery is free on every order. Carriers are DX, DPD or UPS, depending on the item.
Comfort Delivery with old mattress removal costs £50. That's a two-person team who carry it to your room. If you also buy a bed, Comfort Delivery is free, according to Emma's FAQ.
Emma doesn't ship to the Channel Islands, and Comfort Delivery isn't offered in Northern Ireland.
Can you spread the cost?
Yes. DivideBuy offers 0% finance over 3 to 12 months, subject to approval. A £449.40 Original Elite over 12 months is £37.45 a month. PayPal works too. Klarna wasn't listed in Emma's FAQ.
Can US shoppers buy from the Emma Black Friday sale?
Not from this sale. It runs on Emma's UK site, in pounds. Its US site, emma-sleep.com, showed a thank-you banner to US customers and a clearance note on 27 October 2026, with no Black Friday page.
Pros and cons of buying from Emma on Black Friday
Pros
- Five-week window, 27 October to 30 November, with dates in writing
- The 5% newsletter code stacks on sale prices
- Free delivery and free returns on a 200-night trial
- 0% finance through DivideBuy
Cons
- The Original Elite and Original Pro cost more today than on Emma's Back to School page
- "Was" prices change between sales, so percentages mislead
- 3.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot, with 23% one-star reviews
- No price adjustment policy we could find
What do Emma customers say about delivery and returns?
Emma's UK Trustpilot score was 3.3 out of 5 from 53,942 reviews when we checked. About 61% are five-star.
Recent reviews, from mid-September to late October 2026, split hard on delivery. Some orders came early. Others describe late-night notices and one order still at the warehouse three weeks late.
Returns split the same way. Some people got a refund in about three weeks, others report repeated failed collections. Slow email support is the top complaint.
What this means for you: order earlier in the sale window than you think you need to, and keep your order emails.
The best move today
Sign up for Emma's newsletter now so the 5% code is in your inbox. Then set a reminder for Black Friday week, 23 to 30 November, and check the final price of your mattress against the Back to School figures above.
If the Original Elite is at £421.85 or less, buy it. If you want the Original Pro or the Original, today's price with the code already beats Back to School, so you can order now and get earlier delivery. Related: Boden Black Friday.
Shoptera Deals Desk tracks store sales in the UK and US and builds dated price ledgers to show whether a sale is really a sale.
We checked Emma's UK homepage, Black Friday page, mattresses page, sale page and FAQ, plus its US homepage, on 27 October 2026. For past sales we used dated deal reports from T3, TechRadar, Tom's Guide, PinkNews and Mumsnet, and Emma's UK Trustpilot page for customer feedback. We didn't buy or test any Emma products for this piece, and no price here comes from a checkout.
